Club Tennis at Indiana University
We are so excited to announce that we qualified for Nationals in consecutive years, making the semifinals in the Midwest Sectionals, and 2nd Place in the Bronze Bracket at Nationals! This year, we traveled and competed in tournaments at Western & Southern Open, University of Illinois, Notre Dame University, University of Wisconsin (sectionals), Ohio State University, and Rome, GA (Nationals).
If you are looking for a closer team environment, match play against other schools, priority practices during the winter, and fun travel tournaments, this team is for you.
Who should join?
Every member of the club, regardless of skill level, is welcome to tryout for the travel team. If you want to be part of a fun team atmosphere with more opportunity for matches, the travel team is for you. We will have separate smaller practices, compete against other universities around the Midwest, and hopefully chances to play at great locations such as the Western & Southern Open courts and clay courts near Bloomington.
The size of the Travel team will depend on how many co-ed teams we can fill from those who try out (based on the college club tennis format). Because of this, please try out even if you are a beginner! Oftentimes, we need any player, regardless of experience and skill level, just to fill a team. We want to allow as many players as we can to be a part of our team!
How can I join?
Tryouts for the Fall '24 travel team will begin during the second full week of practices in the Fall. Signups are under the calendar tab. We are happy to answer any of your questions in the GroupMe!
